Violinist, violist, conductor, composer Laureate of International Music Competitions

He was born in 1974 in Donetsk (Ukraine) in a family of musicians.

He studied at J. S. Bach Conservatory in Athens (violin), at University of Indianapolis, Athens (viola) - class Prof. Vladislav Halapsis, at P. I. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (violin) - Postgraduate studies - Aspirantura (Titles D.F.A. & D.M.A.) class Prof. Sergei Kravtchenko, at N. Skalkottas Conservatory, Athens (composition) class Prof. Michail Travlos and orchestra conducting with Odyssey Dimitriadis and Miltiadis Karydis.

The violinist given performances as soloist and as a conductor in Europe, Asia & America.

He has performed with famous conductors and soloists: Odyssey Dimitriadis, Vladimir Spivakov, Konstantin Orbelyan, Ivry Gitlis, Nikolai Petrov, Dmitri Kogan, etc., and with Orchestras: Moscow Virtuosi, Moscow State Philharmonic Academic Chamber Orchestra, Musica Viva Chamber Orchestra, Toliatti Philharmonic Orchestra, Samara "Volga" Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, Walbrzych Philharmonic Orchestra (Poland), Kazakh State Chamber Orchestra, Abkhazian State Philharmonic Orchestra, Astrakhan State Symphony Orchestra, Dnepropetrovsk Chamber Orchestra etc.

The musician has recorded for the Radio, TV and CD production.

Alexandros Halapsis is a Jury member of International Music Competitions, Founder of the "Quattro Elementi" String Quartet, Artistic Director of the Zeus International Music Festival and Summer Music Masterclasses (Greece), Artistic Director and Conductor of the Bios Chamber Orchestra of Athens (Gold Laureate of the International Competition of the Orchestral Art in Moscow, 2007), Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation Official Representative in Greece, Professor of Violin, Viola & Chamber Music at the Athenaeum Conservatory, Nikea Municipal Conservatory and National Conservatory of Nea Makri.
